Delete your Howsit account

You can delete your Howsit account and personal data at any time.

In the app (fastest)

1. Open Howsit and go to Settings → Accounts & Security.
2. Tap Delete My Account.
3. Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.

Without the app

Write to support@howsit.in from your registered email, or call +91 73377 66156, and ask for your account to be deleted. We confirm your phone number with a one-time code before deleting anything, and delete it within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your profile (name, photo, About, email), your settings and your devices;
• your chats and the photos, videos, voice notes and files you sent, stored with Howsit;
• your Reels, Vibes, posts, comments, follows, Circles and watch history;
• your secure chat backup and chat keys stored with Howsit;
• your shop, business and school memberships.

Messages you sent to others stay on their phones, as with any messaging app. A Google Drive backup you made is in your Google Drive; delete it there (Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps → Howsit → Delete hidden app data).

What is kept, and for how long

• Payment, invoice and tax records, for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require;
• Security logs, for 180 days, as required by the IT Rules and CERT-In;
• Records of serious safety violations, to stop the same person from returning to cause harm.

These are kept only for those purposes and are deleted when no longer needed. See the Privacy Policy.

Money in your wallet

Before you delete your account, withdraw what you earned to your verified bank account. Unused top-up money is returned to your original payment method — write to support@howsit.in before deleting so we can send it. Welcome and promotional credit ends with the account.
